Global Organic Textile Standard

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed by leading standard setters to define world-wide recognised requirements for organic textiles. From the harvesting of the raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing to labelling, textiles certified to GOTS provide a credible assurance to the consumer.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling. GRS covers processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trading and distribution of all products made with a minimum of 20% recycled material. It also sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions.

Organic Content Standard (OCS)

The OCS is an international, voluntary standard that uses the chain of custody requirements of the Content Claim Standard (CCS), which makes sure the identity of the organic content is maintained from feedstock to final product, combined with clear requirements for the use of certified organic inputs and rules regarding logo use and labeling claims. It applies to any non-food product containing 5% to 100% organic material. Its aim is to boost organic agricultural production.

higg index

Higg Index certification refers to the formal recognition or verification of a brand, manufacturer, or facility’s adherence to the standards set forth by the Higg Index framework. While the Higg Index itself is primarily an assessment tool used to measure sustainability practices, certification signifies that an entity has undergone a specific evaluation process to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable practices in the apparel and footwear industry.

WRAP certification: gold

WRAP is the world’s largest independent certification program focused on the apparel, footwear, and sewn products sectors.
Achieving a WRAP certification is a collaborative approach, working with facilities to ensure they remain in compliance with our 12 Principles. Facilities must be actively engaged, ensuring effective management systems are in place and demonstrating that they can and do fulfill their social compliance obligations.

U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol

The U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, recognized by Textile Exchange and Forum for the Future, and part of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Cotton 2025 Sustainable Cotton Challenge, Cotton 2040 and Cotton Up initiatives. It has also been recognized and published in the ITC Standards Map, recognized as a standard for sustainable cotton by the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles, and is an ISEAL Community Member.

Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism

The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a voluntary supply-chain security program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) focused on improving the security of private companies’ supply chains with respect to terrorism. The program was launched in November 2001 with seven initial participants, all large U.S. companies. As of December 1, 2014, the program had 10,854 members. The 4,315 importers in the program account for approximately 54% of the value of all merchandise imported into the U.S.
